What We Do

St. Nicholas Family Clinic's mission is to provide quality health care to working individuals and families who do not have medical insurance or financial resources necessary to pay for private insurance and/or medical care.

Who We Serve

Qualified patients are not eligible to receive any health benefits from state or federal governments. Additionally, they must have income that falls within the federal poverty level guidelines of 185%. The St. Nicholas Family Clinic offers medical services to Ballard, Carlisle, Fulton, Hickman, Livingston, McCracken, and Marshall Counties in Kentucky and Massac County in Southern Illinois. St. Nicholas serves all eligible working individuals regardless of race, religion, color, sex or national origin.

Services We Provide

All services provided within St. Nicholas Family Clinic are free whenever possible. This include medications and Laboratory tests. If additional tests such as X-rays, CAT scans, etc., or a consultation with another doctor is recommended, there will be a charge made by the respective caregiver. However, in most offices, a payment plan will be arranged for payment of these services at that facility.

How It Works

The St. Nicholas Family Clinic begins registration of patients at 3:45 p.m. on Tuesday and Thursday's. Individuals may pick up a number at 10:00 am on those days in order to be seen at 3:45. Patients are seen by one of our volunteer doctors. We accept up to 24 patients each night depending on doctor availability, and only on a first come first served basis. The office is open to the public Tuesday through Friday from 10:00 - 11:30 a.m. and 12:30 - 4:30 pm. No doctor is at the clinic during this time. Every individual is screened for eligibility with each visit to the clinic. Patients are asked to bring two consecutive pay stubs as proof of employment.
